Q1 2021: Top Android Arcade Racing Games Make Their Mark in Australia

The first quarter of 2021 was an interesting period for arcade racing enthusiasts in Australia. Sensor Tower's data gives us a glimpse into the performance of the top arcade racing applications on the Android platform. Let's dive into the numbers and see how these games fared.

Need for Speed™ No Limits started the quarter with revenues around $3K, downloads in the low thousands, and weekly active users (WAU) above 5K. The game saw a revenue peak at $5.7K and a significant increase in downloads to 2.7K and WAU to 7.5K by the end of March.

Gameloft SE's Asphalt 9: Legends experienced a revenue fluctuation, starting with $3.5K and dipping to $1.8K in early February, but then picking up again to nearly $3K by the end of March. Downloads and WAUs both showed a declining trend, with a slight uptick in downloads to 1.2K and WAUs to 4.3K in the last week of March.

CarX Drift Racing 2 saw revenues starting at $2.5K and ending the quarter slightly lower at $2.3K. Downloads began at 1.3K and had a mid-quarter boost to 1.8K, settling at 1.4K by the end of March. WAUs started at 2.8K, peaked at 3.1K mid-quarter, and ended at 2.8K.

Hashiriya Drifter Online Drift Racing Multiplayer had a modest revenue at the beginning of the quarter with $474, which saw an increase to over $1K in early March and then stabilized around $500 by the end of March. Downloads showed an impressive peak to 4.7K in late January, later declining to 1.7K. WAUs peaked at 7.7K in early March before decreasing to 3.5K.

Lastly, FR Legends had revenues oscillating around $500 for most of the quarter, with downloads starting at 1.3K and dropping to just over 300 by the end of March. WAUs mirrored this trend, starting at 2.6K and decreasing to under 1K.
